Modern Work Summit Terms and Conditions

These Event Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern Your attendance of and participation in the Modern Work Summit (the “Event”). Please read these Terms carefully.

1. Registration

i. To attend the Event, You must be at least 18 years old and have an official Modern Work Summit registration.

ii. Only individuals may register to attend the Event.

iii. You agree to maintain and provide to Crestron accurate, current, and complete registration information for yourself.

iv. Every person entering the Event room must have an official Event badge

v. Crestron may update or modify these Terms from time to time, by posting updated Terms on the website. Your continued attendance at the Event following the posting of such updated Terms constitutes Your acceptance of such updated Terms.

2. Privacy Policy

i. By registering for the Event and submitting Your information to Crestron, You consent to the use of that information as set forth in Crestron’s Privacy Policy, which can be found at: crestron.com/legal/privacy-policy, and agree to comply with Crestron’s Website Terms of Use, which can be found at: crestron.com/Legal/Website-Terms-of-Use.

ii. Your registration and attendance at or participation in the Event and other activities constitutes an agreement by You to Crestron’s use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the Your image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, or audiotapes of such.

3. Obligations and Restrictions

i. No photographs or video recordings are permitted for commercial purposes.

ii. When attending the Event, You must comply with all applicable laws, including federal, state, and local laws, the laws of your jurisdiction, and laws regarding the transmission of technical data, as well as all venue rules and policies.

iii. You shall not:

a. circumvent any measure Crestron may use to prevent or restrict access to portions of the Event;

b. interfere or attempt to interfere in any way with the proper working of the Event;

c. display, send, receive, or store obscene or inappropriate content in connection with the Event;

d. violates copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property laws;

e. advertise, promote, endorse, or market, directly or indirectly, any third-party commercial products, services, solutions, or other technologies;

f. attempt to collect, store, or publish personally identifiable information without the data subject’s knowledge and consent;

g. disable, disrupt, circumvent, interfere with, or otherwise violate the security of the Event;

h. engage in or promote any illegal or criminal activity and/or

i. authorize, permit, enable, induce, or encourage any third party to do any of the above.

iv. If you violate any of these Terms, Your access to the Event may be terminated immediately and without notice.

4. Harassment Statement. This statement applies to speakers, staff, volunteers, guests, exhibitors, and attendees.

i. Crestron is committed to providing a professional environment free from physical, psychological, and verbal harassment. Crestron will not tolerate harassment of any kind including, but not limited to, harassment based on ethnicity, religion, disability, physical appearance, gender, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to all participants and attendees at all Crestron live and virtual conferences, meetings, and events. Harassment includes offensive gestures and verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, inappropriate photography and recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical or virtual contact, and unwelcome attention. Anyone requested to cease harassing behavior is expected to comply immediately, and failure will serve as grounds for revoking access to the Event.

ii. Speakers, staff, volunteers, guests, exhibitors, and attendees are encouraged, but not required, to inform the harasser that their conduct is unwelcome. Regardless of whether the harasser is directly confronted; speakers, staff, volunteers, guests, exhibitors, and attendees must promptly report the conduct to Crestron Event management to enable the Crestron to investigate and address the conduct. Crestron staff will assist those experiencing harassment to enable them to feel safe for the duration of the Event.

iii. When notified of individuals engaging in harassing behavior, Crestron may take any action it deems appropriate, ranging from a simple warning to expulsion from the current and/or future Crestron meetings, conferences, and events. Decisions to ban individuals from future Crestron events is in the sole discretion of Crestron.

5. Health and Safety

i. You understand that the Centers for Disease Control has classified COVID-19 as a highly contagious disease that can be transmitted asymptomatically and can lead to severe illness or death. You recognize that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and other infectious illnesses exists in any public place where people are present. You agree to abide by all policies, protocols, and procedures established by federal, state, and local authorities, venue management, and Crestron at the Event including, but not limited to, health and safety protocols implemented to minimize the spread of COVID-19. You understand that Crestron, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to terminate Your access to the Event without any refunds or reimbursements, in the event that you do not follow all protocols established by Crestron, the Event venue and/or federal, state and/or local authorities. You also understand that Crestron cannot eliminate the risk of You contracting COVID-19 or any other infectious illness in connection with Your participation in the Modern Work Summit.

ii. Health and Safety Measures. In order to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19, Crestron has implemented the following health and safety measures, with which all attendees will be expected to comply, where applicable.

a. All attendees, Crestron employees, and venue staff must follow the policies, protocols, and procedures established by federal, state, and local authorities, and venue management. Registration confirmations and Event reminders will include location specific requirements for the Event.

b. All attendees, Crestron employees, and venue staff must follow the policies, protocols, and procedures established by federal, state, and local authorities, and venue management regarding face mask requirements. Registration confirmations and Event reminders will include location specific face mask requirements for the Event.

c. All attendees, Crestron employees, and venue staff are required to follow all social distancing policies, protocols, and procedures implemented at the Event.

d. All attendees, Crestron Employees, and venue staff are required to follow any enhanced sanitization procedures implemented at the Event and are encouraged to frequently wash hands and use hand sanitizer, which will be made readily available at the Event.

6. Disclaimer

i. The Event and its content are provided “as is” and Crestron disclaims any warranties, express or implied, including without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non- infringement of intellectual property.

7. Limitation of Liability

i. To the extent permitted under applicable law, Crestron shall not be liable for any damages whatsoever, including without limitation, consequential, special, indirect, incidental, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits or revenues resulting from the Event.

8. Release, Waiver, Hold Harmless.

i. By registering for and attending the Modern Work Summit, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL KNOWN AND UNKNOWN RISKS RELATED TO EXPOSURE TO COVID-19 AND OTHER INFECTIOUS ILLNESSES and all risk of personal injury, damage, and expense related to Your participation in, and travel to and from, the Event. In consideration of the opportunity to participate in the Event provided by Crestron Electronics, Inc., you hereby FOREVER RELEASE, WAIVE, AND HOLD HARMLESS CRESTRON ELECTRONICS, INC. AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, MEMBERS, VOLUNTEERS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, INJURY, DAMAGE, LOSS, OR EXPENSE THAT MAY ARISE, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, NOW OR IN THE FUTURE, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER CAUSED BY FAULT ON THE PART OF CRESTRON ELECTRONICS, INC, IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE EVENT. You understand that this release and waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by law, and that if any portion of this release and waiver is held invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect. This release and waiver will extend to, and be binding upon, you and your estate, heirs, executors, administrators, and personal representatives.

9. Content Ownership and Trademark Information

i. All content from the Event, including without limitation, product information, spec sheets, images, videos, and product guides, unless otherwise noted, is copyrighted by Crestron, and may not be reproduced, republished, or posted, without the express written consent of Crestron. You agree not to adapt, alter, or create any derivative work from any material from the Event.

ii. The Event includes brand names, product names, and trademarks belonging to Crestron and other parties. Certain trademarks, registered trademarks, and trade names may be used during the Event and on the website to refer to either the entities claiming the marks and names or their products. Please visit crestron.com/en-US/Legal/Trademarks for information on the proper usage of Crestron’s trademarks. Crestron disclaims any proprietary interest in the marks and names of others.
